Love the Crypto Sector That You Invest In
Crypto 100x Blueprint Email 2
Don’t you just love crypto.
It’s a beautiful, volatile beast isn’t it?
Love is the second bullet point in the Crypto 100x Blueprint Checklist because if you aren’t loving it, then you aren’t having fun. And if you aren’t having fun, you ain’t making meaningful money.
Why is love important?
Focus
Persistence
Deepness
What we’re trying to do here is not normal. 100x-ing a portfolio is not unheard of, but it’s not something everyone gets to do. You have a stacked deck against you, and I want to help you level the playing field.
Too often I see investors having 20+ tokens across 20 layers of crypto trying to diversify their investments and make large returns. Diversification is good (we will have further emails/posts about this), but it does detract our attention from the 100x crypto goal.
Making such a large return on investment requires an overweighted attention towards a certain area. You have to know more than the average investor within an industry in order to outperform. Why would you expect to outperform without this unique insight?

Warren had this insight. Ackman had this insight. Lots of famous investors just knew certain areas much better than retail, and this helped them outperform. These large investors also don’t just buy a “little of everything” in hopes that one investment pops off. They make calculated investments based on a certain set of criteria.
What I highly recommend, is finding a sector in crypto that you love so you can apply a higher level of focus, commitment, dedication, and enjoyment. These lovey dovey emotions are not just all fickle feelings though. When you love the process of investing, the research of your sector, and have love, you can withstand any bear market, any portfolio implosion, and any black swan.
This gives you an incredible edge. A long term edge that says “I will still be here after everyone else gave up, and that means I will win”.
Do you think you would have more fun, and give more attention, to something you love or something you dislike?
So love is important and you can call me the crypto love doctor, but how do we apply this specifically.
Explore crypto ecosystems and sectors
Explore different project fundamentals and tokenomics
Realize that anything will work wonderfully and the answer truly is up to you
Everyone has a different crypto origin story. Some people start with Bitcoin and the fight against inflationary fiat, some investors start with Ethereum and EVM since its the first smart contact language, and other people, like me, start with Cardano since we see it as a natural progression of the two latter cryptos. However you start, it is always good to understand the counter arguments and reasons behind other investments.
I knew I liked Cardano when I joined the ecosystem because of its value proposition and fundamental principles, but I still had curiosities surrounding other ecosystems. I took time to learn about Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and some smaller L1s to really understand how they work. This did 2 things for me:
I solidified my ideal investment sector in crypto
I found alternative cryptos to hedge against the sector I love
Exploring other ecosystems let me understand where Cardano was doing better or worse, but it also solidified the idea that Cardano was my golden nugget in crypto. It’s where I would further my investment attention. I also realized that Cardano carried risk. All of crypto carries risk. I am all about reducing risk so I counterbalanced my Cardano investments with BTC/ETH investments.
This will let me double down on risk in the investment I “love” and have a focused attention on. I suggest you to explore the crypto ecosystems and find the one you love. Answer these questions to help you:
What tokenomics do I love?
What use case do I love?
What consensus mechanism do I love?
What governance mechanism do I love?
What coding language do I love?
Do I think crypto should follow the first principles that Bitcoin put forward?
What blockchain metrics (TPS/TVL) do I love?
After you answer these questions, you should be able to narrow down on a few sectors, L1s, L2s, or areas of crypto that you truly love and want to spend more attention in. This could also be something simply like “I love meme coins and want to spend all my attention there” or “I love Solana and want to spend all my attention there” or “I love crypto gaming and want to spend all my attention there”.
The main goal of this is to find an area where you can focus your attention and perform better than someone whose attention is elsewhere.
Find your golden nugget of investing so you can focus your attention there, have more information, and simply perform better than investors who are scattering their money everywhere.
Think about this from the inverse perspective. What do you think the average retail investor who joins crypto will do? Here’s what I think they will do:
Join a CEX and look at their investment options there
Follow hype on social media for the best investment ever
Scatter their funds across all of these “great” opportunities
Make some money but not have a massive wealth generating plan
This worked in 2021, and will probably work in 2025. But I don’t think this is the best path to get a 100x on your portfolio. If you follow the average crypto investor path, why would you expect anything besides the average crypto return on investment?
If you can answer these questions, you’ll be on the path to 100x. Find the sector you enjoy, understand, and are happy to hang around in for a while.
Here’s a link to the 3rd post within the Crypto 100x Blueprint on finding native tokens in your sector to actually invest in:
After all, what’s love without a great investment. So we need to figure out which tokens to buy in our sector.
